Paschal Math Clinic Student-centered Math Tutoring Service
Paschal Math Clinic  ·  Book a consultation

Let’s find where the difficulty begins.

A free conversation, with a parent, about one student. It takes about thirty minutes. You will leave it knowing which level we would place your child in and why — whether or not you decide to enrol.

What the consultation is

A conversation, not a sales call.

Honest

We will tell you if we are not the right fit

Some students need something we do not offer — a different subject, a different intensity, or an assessment we are not qualified to make. We would rather say so in the first half hour than take a year of your money finding out.

Specific

You leave with a level, and the reasoning

Not “she’s doing fine” or “he needs to try harder.” A named level, the evidence behind it, and what the first term would actually work on. That recommendation is yours to keep and act on however you choose.

Unhurried

Nobody is asked to decide on the call

There is no offer expiring at midnight and no discount for signing today. Places are limited by group size, not by pressure. Take the recommendation away and think about it.

Request a consultation

Six questions. Nothing about your child yet.

We ask a parent for the least we need in order to have a useful first conversation. Your child’s name, school and history are theirs to share when you meet a tutor, not conditions of getting a reply.

A few sentences is plenty. What you have noticed matters more than what any report card says.

This form opens a pre-filled email to us — there is no third-party service in between. We reply to every request, usually within two working days. We do not add you to a mailing list from this form, and we do not pass your details to anyone else.

Before you fill anything in

What we will never ask you for.

A first conversation does not require your child’s records. If any form anywhere asks a family for the things on this list before a tutor has even met the student, it is worth asking why.

Not on the form

Your child’s name, school, or date of birth

A grade band tells us everything we need in order to have the first conversation. Names and schools come later, from you, once you have decided we are worth talking to.

Not on the form

School logins, teacher names, or timetables

We do not contact schools and we have no use for credentials that belong to your family. What helps us is what you tell us directly.

Not on the form

Diagnoses, medical notes, or reports about your child

We teach mathematics. We do not assess or diagnose learning or medical conditions, and we do not need documents from anyone who does.

What happens next

From request to first session.

Step 01

We reply

Usually within two working days, with a couple of times that suit what you told us.

Step 02

We talk

About thirty minutes, with a parent. Bring a completed placement diagnostic if you have one — it makes the conversation far more specific.

Step 03

You get a recommendation

A named level, the reasoning behind it, the group and schedule that would suit, and the tuition for the months remaining.

Step 04

You decide, in your own time

If you go ahead, we set up your accounts and issue an invitation. Your child’s record begins only at that point, never before.

Bring a diagnostic if you can. Each level has a free twenty-question sheet that probes mastery of the level below it. Download the one nearest your child’s current work from the placement section of the homepage. It is a starting point for the conversation, not a test to pass — and a half-finished sheet is more useful to us than a perfect one.
